7:45Now PlayingZimbabwe's incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been re-elected by a slim majority of voters, according to the country's election commission. Mnangagwa won 52 percent of the vote, while the main opposition candidate Nelson Chamisa won 44 percent.
It marks a second term for Mnangagawa, and a continuation of his Zanu-PF party's 43 year rule. The opposition has rejected the result, with several of its monitors arrested while trying to tally votes. The European Union's observers said the election fell short of democratic standards, saying there was a climate of intimidation against the opposition.
