The winners of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2023 are announced in Sweden. The US-based scientists Moungi Bawendi, Louis Brus and Alexei Ekimov are being honoured for their discovery and synthesis of quantum dots. Swedish media outlets reported that the names of the winners were leaked several hours before the official announcement. The Nobel Jury say they deeply regret the leaks.
