The Copernicus program has released a study showing that the average global temperature over the past month was higher than any recorded by the European Space Agency. The data also showed that 2023 is on track to be the hottest year on record. One of the report's authors called it a "death sentence for people and ecosystems." The report comes less than two months before world leaders meet for the global climate summit. Are we expected to now see new temperature records every month?
