The Israel Defense Force (IDF) said Tuesday that it prevented an infiltration of Lebanese militants seeking to enter Israel from neighboring Lebanon. Tensions have ramped up in recent days between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah is an Iran-backed Shiite political organization and paramilitary group in Lebanon. The United States, Germany and several Sunni Arab countries deem Hezbollah to be a terrorist organization, while the European Union considers Hezbollah's armed wing as a terrorist group.
