The former US Secretary of State was a divisive figure in global politics and his legacy in Asia has been much debated. As one of his greatest achievements, he's the celebrated architect of America's rapprochement with China in the 1970s. But he's been criticized for his policies surrounding the Vietnam War as well as the secret bombing campaigns in Cambodia and Laos.
