as posted by the channelIwao Hakamada spent nearly half a century on death row after his 1968 conviction for the murder of his boss, the man's wife and two children. He was granted a retrial in 2014 after his lawyers argued that police fabricated key evidence. Hakamada was released from prison then - but was not cleared of the charges due to Japan's slow justice system. Hakamada is 88 years old.
