8:52Now PlayingThe UN says almost 60 percent of rural Zimbabweans will be living with severe hunger between January and March of next year. In April 2024 the government declared a state of emergency and then the harvest failed.
The situation was so dire that officials even announced plans to cull elephants for food. But some people, particularly women, are foraging wild crops like baobab fruit as a critical source for both food and income.
