as posted by the channelThe Israeli counterattack on Iran had been in the works for days. Now Israel has begun its air attack. Israel says it attacked military targets in Iran early Saturday morning. The IRNA news agency reports that residents of Tehran first heard explosions around 2:15 am local time, mostly in the west of the city.
The US described Israel's attacks on targets in Iran as "self-defense maneuvers". The "targeted attacks on military targets" were also a response to the Iranian missile attack on Israel on October 1, National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett said in Washington.
On that day, the air force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel.
