YouTube Description
as posted by the channelFor Arab Americans, the war in Gaza and the Biden administration's support for Israel loomed large over Harris' campaign. Trump saw an opportunity, winning the endorsement of a number of Muslim and Arab American leaders in the key swing-state of Michigan days before the election. Notably, he won Dearborn, an Arab American majority city in the state. Why did so many Arab and Muslim Americans choose Trump? What do they expect from a Trump presidency?
DW's Aya Ibrahim sits down with Dr. Bishara Bahbah, a former associate director of a Middle East policy institute at Harvard Kennedy School and long time registered Democrat who launched the group Arab Americans for Trump. He campaigned in Michigan with Richard Grenell and the Lebanese-born businessman Massad Boulos, whose son is married to Tiffany Trump.
