In the United States President-elect Trump's cabinet is taking shape with a promise to do what Trump the candidate said he would do as Trump, the president. That means getting tough on illegal immigration. Trump says he plans to name Thomas Homan acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Homan was known as the border czar in the first Trump administration.

Trump is also expected to name Florida senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. If confirmed, Rubio would become the first Latino to serve as America's top diplomat.

For more on this, we talk to Mike Cowburn. He's a US politics and Digital Democracy analyst at the European University Viadrina.
