as posted by the channel

Georgia is preparing to elect a new president on Saturday. It's the first time the head of state will be selected by a 300-member College of Electors, rather than through a direct vote. The incumbent pro-EU President Salome Zourabichvili calls the process illegitimate and says she isn't going anywhere.

Hundreds have been arrested in Georgia since protests broke out over a decision to halt EU membership talks. Students have been a driving force of those nightly protests but many are now worried about the future of the pro-EU movement.
