10:21Now PlayingVery soon, Donald Trump will be back in the White House as the US President.
It's a change of power that's expected to have far-reaching consequences for the United States — and also for the rest of the world. Leaders from America's neighbors, here in Europe, and other capitals around the globe are waiting to see what the new US president will do once he returns to the Oval Office.
During Trump's first term in office, he snubbed some of America's traditional European allies, and pursued closer ties with autocrats like the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Trump also famously said he wanted a better relationship with Russia. Now, Vladimir Putin's Russia is at war with its democratic neighbor Ukraine, and both sides are pinning their hopes for the future on the new US administration.
