Germany is going to the polls on February 23rd but with just days to go in the election campaign, politicians are avoiding talking about climate change

German politicians seem to be avoiding talking about the climate crisis with just days to go before new elections.

Climate change has fallen in voters prioritiies since the last general election back in 2021. This year the soaring cost of living, as well as concerns over migration, have dominated the agenda.

DW's Giulia Saudelli looked into what's changed for voters and on the campaign trail. We also spoke to Christoph Bals from environmental advocacy group Germanwatch and Sarah Zitterbarth from Greenpeace for more on why climate change has fallen down the agenda this time.
