18:20Now PlayingEuropean leaders are gathering in Brussels for an emergency summit. On the agenda is boosting defence spending and shoring up support for Ukraine. European Commission Chief Ursula von der Leyen has proposed a plan that she calls rearm Europe. Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also be attending the summit. The meeting comes at a pivotal moment for Europe as the United States upends its close alliance with the continent and pauses all support for Ukraine. The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has also paused intelligence sharing with Ukraine, cutting Kyiv off from vital information about Russian movements on the battlefield. The suspension comes on the heels of a halt in US military aid.
