On Sunday more than 100,000 of Sheinbaum's supporters rallied in Mexico City to celebrate the country being exempted from tariffs on goods covered by an existing trade agreement. Trump said he made the decision out of respect for Sheinbaum, many have put it down to Sheinbaum's negotiating skills.
