Police have fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse demonstrators in Turkey's biggest city. Ekrem Imamoglu was taken into custody on Wednesday on charges of corruption and aiding a terrorist group. But the opposition says his arrest is politically motivated, as he's considered the top challenger to Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan has dismissed that accusation as 'theatrics'.
