Thousands have used it to leave the country since Israel and Iran started exchanging fire, triggered by an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear facilities on June 13. On Sunday, the United States joined Israel's bombing campaign, fuelling fears of a wider regional conflict.
DW journalists are unable to report from inside Iran, due to restrictions by the country's government. Our correspondent Julia Hahn spoke to Iranians at the Turkish border - and asked them for their reaction to Washington's intervention in the war.
