YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAn agreement between Druze and Bedouin groups to stop fighting in Syria's southern province of Sweida appears to be holding. Bedouin fighters also say they have left Sweida. On Sunday morning, AFP correspondents on the outskirts of Sweida province aid there were no clashes, as interim security forces were enforcing the truce in some areas of Sweida. Bedouin militias - some of whom are aligned with segments of Syria's interim security forces - have been battling Druze fighters for a week. According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the sectarian violence has left over 1,000 dead. The fighting threatens to unravel President Ahmed al-Sharaa's already fragile post-Assad government and raises questions as to al-Sharaa’s own involvement in the bloodshed.
