The deal was aimed at settling a trade dispute over tariff hikes. Trump has said that EU deal is the 'biggest deal ever made'. Von der Leyen stated that tariffs will be 15 percent across the board. Trump said that the EU will buy 150 billion dollars worth of US energy and will make 600 billion dollars in US investments. Both hailed it as a good deal with EU chief saying that it bill bring stability to Europe.
