5:05Now PlayingThailand has declared a curfew in one of its frontline provinces as fighting spreads in its border conflict with Cambodia. Both sides have reported attacks in seven provinces along the front. The Thai army says 15 of its soldiers have been killed and 270 wounded in the fighting. Cambodia has not released official military casualty figures. The conflict has displaced hundreds of thousands of people on both sides. Many of them have been living in makeshift shelters for days. Thailand has rejected claims that it has agreed to go back to an earlier ceasefire. The Thai foreign minister issued a statement reaffirming his "unwavering commitment to peace". But peace must be "genuine, sustainable, and grounded in actions that honor agreements, not empty words”, he wrote on X. “Thailand has exercised restraint, yet we cannot ignore repeated breaches -- including landmine incidents that have injured our soldiers and threatened civilians.”
