US President Donald Trump says Iran has halted killings and executions, citing assurances he received. The security alert level at the US's air base in Qatar has been lowered, indicating that Washington is stepping back from military action against Tehran for now. Though tensions between the US and Iran appear to have been lowered, countries in the region are still on high alert. According to reports, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman managed to convince US President Donald Trump not to strike Iran. Besides US military bases, Tehran had also threatened to retaliate against Israel, if the US struck first.
