The wife of jailed Ugandan opposition figure Kizza Besigye Kifeefe has raised serious concerns regarding her husband's health. This follows the re-election of President Yoweri Museveni for a seventh term on January 15th, in an election that was criticized by observers and NGOs. Since the election, Uganda's opposition leaders say they are scared for their lives. Kizza Besigye has been in custody since 2024.
