11:10Now PlayingRussian Kinzhal missiles have been within a few seconds of hitting Ukraine's nuclear power stations on dozens of occasions, according to Ukraine's prosecutor general.
DW's Nick Connolly went to the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant in western Ukraine. He spoke to engineers there about the risk both from Russian missiles and dangerous emergency shutdowns during attacks on Ukraine's energy grid.
Just this week the International Atomic Energy Agency called for restraint after more than 160 Russian drones were recorded near Ukraine's three operational nuclear plants in the space of a day.
We spoke with Ross Peel from King's College London about possible worst-case scenarios.
