YouTube Description
as posted by the channelStan Rogers - The House of Orange
There were 37,000 shootings and 16,200 bombings during the Troubles, it's become somewhat of a meme in the rest of the world but in Northern Ireland 2% of the population were killed or wounded, and as many as 500,000 of the rougly 1.5 million people living there at the time were directly affected.
I really wanted to get across how not glamorous this war was compared to what popular culture has turned it into, no one came out of it looking good, let alone heroic.
