YouTube Description
as posted by the channelRedbone - Come and Get Your Love
Due to Laos' supposed neutrality in the Vietnam War, the US propped up the Laotian government through the use of a wide range of front companies, CIA "advisors", deployment of foreign troops from a variety of it's Asian allies, and periods of high intensity bombing from bases in Vietnam. To this day, much of what these "companies" did is secret, giving the foreign involvement the name "The Secret War".
Particular attention was paid to the Laotian Air Force, it's training planes were converted to gunships and flown by Thai pilots with American instructors flying with them, and supply and transport missions were run by the company Air America, whose name continues to create controversy due to accusations of gun and drug smuggling to fund both themselves and loyalist Laotian militias.
