IDAHO FALLS — A man crashed through a local business late Sunday, Nov. 8, causing massive structural damaged and a flood after the accident severed a city water pipeline.
Idaho Fall Police report just after 10 p.m., a man, who has not been identified, was traveling west on 1st Street when he ran off the road and crashed into the Rose Shop at 615 1st Street.

IFPD and the Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to the accident.
The driver was transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. No one else was injured. Witnesses say there were passengers in the vehicle, but that has not been confirmed by police.
A water main was severed in the crash causing severe flooding to the business. A city of Idaho Falls utility employee was called out to shut off the water from a street access valve. Originally there was concern of a gas leak. The source of the odor was found to be the truck itself leaking fuel.
Witnesses at the scene say the man was appeared to be speeding before his vehicle left the road.
The Rose Shop is a reception center and flower shop. A significant portion of the building was damaged by the crash, and the majority of the establishment was flooded, according to witnesses.
