VO: A few years a go owner Jon Roberts saw the preparedness market booming, but wanted to bring something different to table.
SOT: “We started working about two and a half years ago to engineer a packaging system that would prolong the shelf life of medical supplies so we could have that same convenience as food storage,” Roberts said.
VO: Consumers refresh their medical supplies less often than food storage making the need for lasting medical material more essential.
SOT: “I eat three times a day, so I can cycle through my food storage, but medical supplies? I hope I don’t have a medical emergency three times a day,” Roberts said.
VO: The key to preserving the supplies is keeping out heat, light, oxygen, and moisture. He says his method can add at least 20 years to the item’s shelf life.
SOT: “We use a high quality mylar material that keeps supplies lasting long,” Roberts said.
VO: Survival medical has everything to treat a broken leg, or extreme hemorrhaging.
VO: Lincoln Zitlau, assistant to Roberts, says the product is something he hasn’t seen on the market, and is definitely one of the best options for emergency and survival.
SOT: "I think it will be a very popular product for people who like to be outdoors, and people that just like to be prepared,” Zitlau said.
