1:43Now PlayingREXBURG-- VO: Original Thai has only been in the area since 2008, but locals are in love with its authentic dishes.
SOT: “There’s Thai food and then there’s Thai food,” Customer Lucas Handy says.
VO: Angie Tobchen said she’s only worked at the restaurant for a couple of months, but to her it feels like home.
SOT: “I love working around Thai people. I love talking in Thai,” Tobchen said.
VO: She said she’s worked and eaten at other Thai restaurants and she claims Original Thai is almost identical to food in Thailand.
SOT: “Very authentic, yeah it’s great!” Meyers said.
SOT: “The food is delicious. It tastes really really great. I like the vibe too is really cool,” Customer Sydni Lankford said.
VO: One unique dish on the Menu is the Drunken Noodle. The Drunken Noodle has Thai peppers, vegetables, chicken, and rice noodles.
VO: They tell us the Drunken noodle is famous in Thailand for remedying hangovers.
STANDUP: The first time I tried Thai food it wasn’t the best experience, but today I’m confident that this dish will taste how Thai food was supposed to taste the first time. (Bite) Super good, that’s how you make Thai.
VO: The Original Thai family said they are happy to be filling the niche as the only Thai restaurant in town.
SOT: “This is definitely real original people from Thailand that make Thai food, I really appreciate that,” Customer Lucas Handy said.
