In Bonneville County, prosecutor Daniel Clark is running unopposed. Clark has been county prosecutor since he was appointed in January 2015.
Clark agreed to sit down with EastIdahoNews.com reporter Nate Eaton and answer the following questions:
You had a busy first year in office. Tanner Cox was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after a man was punched and died. Brian Mitchell was charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a man multiple times at Tautphaus Park. There was an officer-involved shooting involving a man at a gas station and another shooting involving a bail bondsman. Why did you decide to run for office again?

Is there more crime in Bonneville County now versus a few years ago?
One of the most high profile cases of last year involved Brian Mitchell - the man accused of killing a man at Tautphaus Park. Mitchell committed suicide in jail last December. You were set to prosecute the case. What do you think would have happened had the case gone to trial?
What is your view on transparency in government and releasing information versus holding it back?
