as posted by the channelFORT HALL -- Crews are getting a handle on a fire burning on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and, as of 2:15 p.m. Monday, officials say the fire is 35 percent contained.
Over 9,200 acres have burned since the blaze started Saturday night. It spread Sunday due to thunderstorms and high winds in the mountainous Ross Fork area of the reservation east of Interstate 15.
The fire has not caused any evacuations or injuries and no structures are threatened.
Fire officials say 12 fire trucks, five bulldozers, two helicopters and about 150 firefighters are fighting the fire. Additional fire crews may be deployed this week.
