2:10Now PlayingIDAHO FALLS – For one woman it's the way she gives back to the community each year-- working hours on end to organize Thanksgiving meals for families in need.
“Our average is usually about 350 families that we help each year. Sometimes it’s more sometimes it’s less,” Turkey box drive organizer Kelli Marshall says.
For the young basketball players who've volunteered the for the last three years, packing turkey boxes into cars has a friendly competition.
“It’s a great opportunity to come and serve and help these people,” Dylan Seeley Freshman with the Idaho Falls Tigers Basketball Team says.
Marshall has inspired families and friends of different faiths to help in a Turkey Box giving tradition at St. Lukes Episcopal church.
“Everyone should have a good Thanksgiving no matter what their circumstances (are), and Kelli, she helps with that,” 11-year-old volunteer Kate Rodel says. (Read more at EastIdahoNews.com)
