RIGBY — A school bus slid into a parked semi-truck in rural Jefferson County Thursday morning.
The crash occurred before 8 a.m. at 145 North and Basset Road in Osgood.
Authorities say a semi-truck was stopped on the side of the road, while the driver attempted to chain up his wheels to go up a hill. A Jefferson Joint School District 251 bus was headed down the hill on the icy road.
The bus driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the parked semi-truck.
There were 17 students on board the bus, however, none of them were injured in the crash. All students were evacuated from the scene.
Roads throughout eastern Idaho are slick this morning. Use caution when driving.
