26:32Now PlayingIn this edition of East Idaho Newsmakers, Nate Eaton talks with Tami Hymas. Tami has been in the beauty business for 20 years and opened Tami’s Salon in Rexburg in 2009.
Tami quickly became a community staple by hosting fundraisers, participating in events and helping with performing arts productions. She began writing beauty columns for a local newspaper and appeared on radio and television shows before joining EastIdahoNews.com in 2015.
A ski accident put her work into perspective and she Tami left EastIdahoNews.com in 2016 to write a book about the beauty industry and what she’s learned.
Hymas’ book “BeUtoFullness” was released in January and it focuses on being an individual who knows their value, believes in others, embraces strengths and weaknesses and shares them with the world.
Hymas says her goal is to transform the beauty industry and shares more about her mission in the interview above.
