5:18Now PlayingA Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!
The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.
After raising six children in Omaha, Nebraska, Leslie and Paul moved to Rexburg last year. Paul began having health issues years ago and was no longer able to work. They had two vehicles that are 20 years old and they seem to always be having problems.
Leslie and Paul came to eastern Idaho to be closer to their daughter. To save money, they moved in with her, her husband and their three children in a basement apartment.
Leslie works part-time at a local elementary school as an aide for children with special needs. After moving to Rexburg, Paul began having heart problems causing him to spontaneously lose consciousness. He requires regular doctor visits and Leslie regularly has to borrow her daughter's car to make sure Paul can get to his appointments.
Secret Santa heard about Leslie and Paul and asked the East Idaho News elves to surprise them with an early Christmas gift. Watch the video above to see what happened!
