AMMON — A suspect is dead following an unknown incident with Bonneville County Sheriff deputies Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred just after 4 a.m. in the 1600 block of Falcon Drive near an apartment complex, according to a county news release.
No specific details have been released, except that shots were fired resulting in the death of an individual. No one else was injured.
Deputies have secured the scene, and the East Idaho Critical Incident Task Force has begun an investigation. The task force is made up of representatives from multiple law enforcement agencies that investigate these types of incidents.
As of 7:30 a.m., Falcon Drive from 17th Street to approximately one block north is closed to traffic. Motorists are asked to avoid that area.
