The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
On Jan. 1, Roddlee was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was hospitalized for 10 days. He recovered but came down with an infection in his left leg. They assumed it was MERSA and treated him for seven months with different antibiotics, IVs and other remedies. They did an MRI in September, doctors found out the bone was completely dead.
Roddlee had to have his leg amputated below the knee. He is a truck driver and one of the best in his company with nearly 3 million miles without accidents or infractions. He has not been able to work full time this entire year and is not sure if he will ever be able to drive again.
Roddlee is a sweet guy who works very hard. He and his wife, Angie, do not wait to be asked to serve. She is up early every morning driving a school bus and recently worked potato harvest to earn extra money. They just go and do what needs to be done. This has really taken a toll on their family but they still find ways to serve. Now they need help getting their home set up for his limitations.
