AMMON — Step into Kneaders Bakery and Cafe in Ammon and you’ll find delicious pastries, a variety of fresh breads, hot soups, hearty sandwiches and more.
But one of the restaurant’s most popular items is the all-you-can-eat chunky cinnamon French toast served during breakfast hours.
“Our chunky cinnamon French toast is made from our chunky cinnamon bread. We make all of our breads in-house daily – fresh, no preservatives, clean ingredients and never frozen,” says Ruby Gorr, the Ammon Kneaders Retail and Community Engagement Manager. “We the French toast with whip cream, strawberries and our famous caramel syrup that we also sell in bottles.”

If French toast isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other breakfast options including egg and cheese croissants, omelets, pancakes, parfaits and fresh fruit.
After breakfast, stick around and enjoy a hearty turkey ranch, chicken salad, roast beef or a variety of other sandwiches.
One of the newest items on the menu is macaroni and cheese, consisting of mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and asiago cheeses. You can get it in a bowl, topped with croutons, or as a sandwich with a layer of bacon and green onions.
Think of the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich loaded with creamy mac and cheese. It was yummy!

The most popular sandwich at Kneaders is turkey bacon avocado but we tried the chicken cheese and ham sandwich. It consists of grilled chicken, housemade honey mustard sauce, mayonnaise, swiss cheese and ham, lettuce, tomato and onion. It will fill you up and you’ll want even more.
Of course Kneaders is known for its mouthwatering pastries, cookies, brownies, pies and rolls. If you haven’t tried the lemon raspberry tart, salted caramel cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, eclairs, or fruit tarts, you’re missing out. And the restaurant is launching a new dessert this week in time for spring.
“It’s our tres leche pudding cup and has cake soaked in three milks, chunks of strawberries, whipped cream and a slice of strawberry on top,” Gorr says.
Kneaders has stores in Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Texas. The Ammon location is open from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 3571 South 25th East. You can visit the Kneaders website here and the Ammon bakery has a Facebook page here.
