EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
We recently received an email about a pizza restaurant worker who helped a family during a scary situation. The message said:
Without going into too much detail, a family of 11 went out to dinner at Lucy’s on Broadway in Idaho Falls when one of the family members had a medical emergency. Geoff, one of the owners of Lucy’s, is also an EMT and quick the scene. I noticed he even had his notebook out taking notes as we explained what was going on so he could give it to EMS when they arrived. All of his staff was so helpful and attentive. The other customers enjoying pizza for dinner jumped in to help move tables and entertain kids as well. After the family member was taken by ambulance, Geoff got quarters for the four little kids to get something out of the quarter machines. We just happened to have dinner at the right place and at the right time.
We decided to surprise Geoff for Feel Good Friday and thank him for jumping into action. Watch the surprise in the video player above.
