IDAHO FALLS -- They are extremely popular, extremely delicious and they're flying off the shelves this holiday season.
Pumpkin pies from Costco and Sam's Club are a Thanksgiving staple for many. Both are nearly 12" and weigh nearly four pounds - and both cost less than $6 ($5.99 for the Kirkland Signature pie at Costco, $5.98 for the Member's Mark pie at Sam's Club).
Sam's Club as "a classic pumpkin pie with a flaky crust and a richly balanced filling made with brown sugar, 100% pumpkin puree, and just the right amount of cinnamon and spices. It's the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday feast!"
Costco began selling its pumpkin pie in 1987, according to The Daily Meal, and one Costco fan Facebook page shows a guest buying over 90 pies during the holiday season.
