1:00:24Now PlayingREXBURG - Attendees in the courtroom gallery sat shoulder to shoulder, trying to find an open seat as a 19-year-old was sentenced on Monday for the murder of a Rexburg man and attempted murder of his wife during a 2021 home invasion.
District Judge Steven Boyce sentenced Pierre Lake to a minimum of 30 years and a maximum of life in prison for the first-degree murder charge. For the attempted first-degree murder charge, Lake was sentenced to a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of life in prison.
Both sentences will run concurrently, and Lake will receive credit for 860 days already served.
