Every week I’m interviewing exciting people from Idaho and around the world!
Madison Duman is an 11-year-old who recently spent some time at EIRMC for a serious health condition. While in the hospital, she often visited the Ronald McDonald House Family Room and made cupcakes for other patients and their families. She decorated each of them differently and played with other kids.
Madison became known as the “cupcake queen” and today I’m chatting with her from her home in Cottonwood.
Here’s what I asked her:
Can you tell me why you had to stay at EIRMC?
You often visited the Ronald McDonald Room at the hospital. What did you like about it?
I heard that you and your mom would go into the Ronald McDonald room and make cupcakes for others. Why?
What did you learn from helping others while you were in the hospital?
How are you doing today?
Next week, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho is holding its sixth annual “Fundraising for Families” with the goal of raising $70,000.Why would you encourage people to donate?
What advice do you have for kids or others who are sick or going through hard times?
