EastIdahoNews.com is partnering with Ashley and Ashley Outlet of Idaho Falls to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

We recently received an email about a woman who works at an Idaho Falls tire store. It said:

I moved out here about five years ago from Southern California. During the move out of my parents’ house, my dad was helping me, and my parents were especially worried about me driving in the snow. Right away, they bought me snow tires from Big O Tires, now known as George’s Tire Pros.

Stephonie was the first person I met when I came in to get those tires installed. She welcomed me to the area with open arms. She is, without a doubt, one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I’ve been loyal to that store ever since because of her, and they do a dang good job.

I recently had to buy new tires from George’s Tire Pros, and Stephonie came in late that day. She was apologizing to everyone, including me, even though she had just gone through a biopsy that wasn’t done properly. She had been bleeding and had to go back to the hospital to get it taken care of. Despite all that, she still showed up to work and was her same incredibly kind self.

She’s there every day, working hard and helping people. When I’m waiting for my tires, I can hear her having real, personal conversations with every customer who walks in. She genuinely cares about people. She makes going to a tire shop feel more like visiting Grandma’s house.

I wanted to use this opportunity for Feel Good Friday to nominate her and let her know she is appreciated and loved. The world would be a better place if more people were like Stephonie, myself included.

We decided to track Stephanie down and surprise her for Feel Good Friday. Check out the video in the player above!
