It was an emotional and at times difficult day of testimony in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, as jurors heard from medical examiners about the deaths of her children.
Lindsay openly sobbed during portions of the testimony, at one point crying so loudly that the judge called a break while nurses tended to her. The jury was reminded to separate emotion from the evidence as medical examiners described their findings about how the kids died.
Earlier, the defense closely questioned a mental health clinician who treated Lindsay in the weeks before the killings. Dukes testified that Lindsay reported anxiety, depression, lack of sleep and suicidal thoughts, but said she never observed signs of mania, paranoia or psychosis and did not believe Lindsay posed a danger to herself or others.
Tonight on Courtroom Insider, we’ll break down day 12 of testimony, what jurors learned about Lindsay’s mental health treatment and the battle taking shape between prosecutors and the defense over what was happening in the weeks leading up to the deaths of her children.
