Stop looking for the solution inside your problem. Learn how to detach and gain perspective like a Navy SEAL leader instead.
Most people try to solve problems by obsessing over the details of the issue itself, but the answer is rarely found in the problem. In this clip, I explain why I do not meditate, yet still practice a form of detachment every single day. This mental shift is a core technique I teach to young SEAL leaders to help them maintain clarity under pressure.
If you want to improve your problem solving skills, you need to learn how to step back from the situation. Detachment allows you to see the bigger picture rather than getting stuck in the weeds of the immediate crisis. Applying this detachment technique helps you maintain focus when things get difficult.
Subscribe for weekly leadership and mindset breakdowns, and let me know in the comments: what is the biggest obstacle you are currently trying to detach from?
