6:52:59Now PlayingThis is a trial based on the defendant's ego. Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis is on trial for his role in the September 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur. To date, no one has been prosecuted in connection with Tupac’s murder. In Keffe D’s book “Compton Street Legend " he says, “Suge Knight and I are the only living eyewitnesses to what truly happened on September 7th 1996, on the Vegas strip between the occupants of our two vehicles.” Suge Knight, a co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, was in the car with Tupac. Suge is currently serving a 28-year sentence but is on the witness list for this case. Keffe D also alleges in his book that he was a shot caller in the South Side Compton Crips and he was approached by Sean ‘Puffy/P. Diddy’ Combs to kill Tupac and Suge for a million dollars. It’s further alleged that the debt wasn’t paid. The fights between Bad Boy Records and Death Row will factor into this trial because tensions were rising and attacks were going back and forth. Keffe D faces up to Life in prison if convicted of murder; the trial is expected to last about 3 weeks. With Suge Knight and Diddy on the witness list and Keffe D’s own book being used against him, this will be a very interesting trial.
