The South African government has announced that it intends to initiate a R100 billion fund aimed at providing money for black businesses, and that the private sector would have to pay for this through taxation. In this video I give a quick overview of what they are trying to achieve, with some references to the extent to which such policies have failed repeatedly over the last 30 years since the ANC took power, why the term "black empowerment" is a semantic fraud as these policies achieve the exact opposite of empowerment, and also why it's important for the private sector to take a stand.
