Swaziland News,11th December 2025

MBABANE:Nonhlanhla Dlamini, the Executive Director of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse (SWAGAA) has applauded the High Court for dismissing alleged child rapist Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo’s application seeking to declare the Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence (SODOV) Act.

Speaking to this Swaziland News this week when interviewed by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini, the SWAGAA Director said, Nxumalo was attempting to cause a rape crisis in the country as other alleged rapists who were arrested and subsequently convicted under the same law, would have been freed immediately had he succeeded in challenging the law.

“We were surprised because other rapists were arrested under the same law, he is not special and must face the law. As the law says, he is innocent until proven guilty but now that his application has been dismissed, he must have his day in court,” said the SWAGAA Director.
