This time, many Bollywood stars have extended their support to the farmers' protest over the Indian government's agricultural reforms that have triggered massive furore. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, on Twitter, emphasised that 'crises should be resolved sooner than later' and wrote, 'Our farmers are India’s Food Soldiers. Their hopes need to be met...' Sonam voiced her support with a quote from Daniel Webster. Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, 'If you eat today, thank a farmer. I stand in solidarity with every farmer in our country.' Many more, including, Chitrangda Singh, Sonu Sood, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, and Hansal Mehta lent their support via social media. Diljit Dosanjh went as far as joining the farmers in their protest at the Singhu border.
