A Mumbai court granted bail to the businessman and actor Shilpa Shetty's husband on 20 September on a surety of Rs 50,000. A news agency further reported that Ryan Thorpe, another accused, was also granted bail. This comes after the businessman moved a bail application in court last week, claiming that he was being made a 'scapegoat' and that there was no single evidence in the supplementary charge sheet that he was actively involved in creating questionable content.
