Like Zaira Wasim and Sana Khan, ‘Miya Bhai' fame rapper Ruhaan Arshad quits industry

2018's popular rap song 'Miya Bhai' fame singer-rapper Ruhaan Arshad has now quit the music industry, stating that it is 'haraam' or prohibited in Islam. The Hyderabad-based rapper recently took to his official Youtube channel and announced that he is quitting the music industry, leaving his fans shocked and stunned. In the video shared by him, Arshad said, 'I am confident about my decision and never had a second thought before announcing this news with you all. I am completely quitting this music industry and will never make any music video from now onwards. I knew that music is a sin in Islam, I just had a passion which led me to pursue it.' He further added, 'I am sure God will help me do something in life. But I will not quit uploading content on YouTube.' While thanking his fans for supporting him throughout his music journey, the rapper also urged his followers who stepped into the music industry after getting inspired by him to quit rapping. Ruhaan has also asked his fans and followers to share content ideas for his Youtube channel that is not sinful in Islam. Post this, several users reacted to his 'big announcement' and also shared content ideas. While one of the users wrote, 'Ruhaan!!! It takes a lot of courage brother. You are such a noble soul mere Bhai. You can sing Nasheed Or Naat to keep your passion alive', another one commented, 'MashaAllah...Mubarak ho. Allah se dua hai k apko kamyabi farmaye...U can also recite naat, nazm, nasheeds on this channel.' Ruhaan Arshad became a popular name a few years back after the release of his rap song 'Miya Bhai'. Notably, the video received over 500 million views. Meanwhile, he is not the only artist who has quit music or acting due to religious reasons. Earlier, actresses like Zaira Wasim and Sana Khan had also quit showbiz citing similar reasons.
